Northern American Species

Fishing for Common Northern American Species–
Some of the most sought after fish species found in Northern America are:
Walleye–Great tasting, very little fishy flavor. Walleye are one of the most prized fish in America. They are not great fighters and it often feels like you snagged a log when you have one on your hook.
Northern Pike–Very abundant, very easy to catch, and very good eating if you know how to fillet and remove the bones. Pike are fun to catch and they can be quite large.
Small mouth Bass–Good eating, great fighters. Some people like to catch them with fly-fishing tackle.
Lake Trout–Usually stay in cold water and run quite deep in warmer weather. They can be difficult to catch and put up a great fight.
